Program Requirements

My PATH students are expected to be active every day, so it is important for them to come prepared by wearing appropriate activewear and running shoes, by tying back long hair, and by bringing a water bottle.

Other personal equipment items that may be necessary throughout the year include:

  • Hockey skates, helmet, gloves, stick
  • Bike helmet
  • Clean indoor running shoes
  • Extra socks
  • Baseball glove
  • Rain gear
  • Winter apparel (coat, snow pants, toque, mitts, boots)

Device Free Learning

At My PATH, we encourage students to take a break from screens to enjoy the various activities, the outdoors, and the social connection with peers and instructors. For this reason, we offer a device free learning experience. If a device is required for a particular program like photography, we will provide advanced notice. We strongly recommend that students leave their devices at home or in their school lockers for the duration of My PATH. However, if they choose to bring it with them, it must be left in their backpacks for the afternoon including during bus rides. Students who choose to use their device without permission will be asked to put it away once only. If they use it a second time, the supervisor will request to keep it safely stored with them until dismissal.

If a parent or caregiver needs to reach a student in an emergency, the best solution is to contact a My PATH program facilitator, as all have cell phones with them at all times.
